Job Description

A unique opportunity to be a part of SAP HANA team that work on latest cutting technology like HANA, SLT for developing the Analytics applications. You will be responsible for implementation/delivering of SAP HANA solutions to support AstraZeneca. As a Senior consultant, you will be responsible for data modelling / report development in Native HANA, SAC and able to understand the functional requirements and create the technical Design Documents.

Accountabilities

  • Expert knowledge in design & creation of Information Models in HANA using Calculation views (both Script based & graphical)

  • Knowledge of data warehousing, tables, and structures (star schema, dimensions, master data)

  • Contribute to design of data models and data structures.

  • Making recommendations on strategic direction and roadmap for the use and implementation of SAP applications, integrated third party systems.

  • Good understanding of Functional areas: FI, P2P, OTC, Supply Chain and Manufacturing with basic experience on SAP Tables from supply chain logistics, warehousing and or Finance processes in SAP.

  • Report development based on SAP HANA modelling/application and relevant Hana development is preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge in SAP Analytics Cloud

  • Participate to all the project phases (Functional Specification, Technical Design, Development, Testing, Cutover and Hyper Care)

  • Analyse performance bottlenecks (SQL Plans) and provide optimization techniques.

  • Advantageous to have Experience in SAP BW4HANA or SAP BW Experience in Bex Query

  • Create and maintain internal documentation and end-user training materials as needed.

  • Provide input to standards and guidelines and implement best practices to enable consistency across all projects.

Requirements

  • SAP BW & HANA experience of 5 to 10 years and with good exposure on different functional areas

  • SAP HANA development and planning, architecture and implementation of large scale data warehousing initiatives on SAP HANA platform.

  • Expertise in Native Hana hands-on development experience: creating SAP HANA information models.

  • Expertise in building Procedures and Hana Views (Calculation views) with graphical and SQL Scripting

  • SAP HANA migration & Optimization, performance tuning

  • A strong understanding of data replication from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, Oracle DB, SAP HANA DB via SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT)

  • Hands on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud

  • Experience in Embedded Analytics and CDS view modelling

  • Experience in building oData services/APIs to expose Native HANA data for third party applications consumption.

  • Functional background and understanding of SAP ERP, ECC or S/4HANA business processes.

  • Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reporting Strategy

  • Creation and enhancement of SAP HANA Web-based applications with emphasis on data modelling

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers in gaining confidence and closing projects.

  • Certification required on BW4HANA and SAC

  • Keeps self, up to date on latest BW/4HANA technologies and functionalities. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a Team.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong team player able to work across the teams and communicate in business and IT terms
    - Comfortable with ambiguity and possessing an agile and open mindset
    - Self-motivated, demonstrated personal credibility and positive energy
    - Able to deliver large work efforts and meet challenging deadlines
    - Able to think out of the box, thrive in ambiguous and stressful situations.

Desirable

  • Worked in a hybrid environment with a mix of internal/external resources across geographical locations

  • Knowledge in Datasphere, in SDA (Smart Data Access), SDI

  • Exposure in Central Finance (CFIN)

  • Exposure to Core Data Services (CDS) & Fiori APPS development
