In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues in Sweden and across the Nordics to implement the Medical Affairs Oncology strategy. Your opportunity in our journey

As a field-based Medical Advisor, you will be instrumental in supporting the strategy and clinical development of our oncology products.

You will contribute to international and regional studies and manage medical/scientific activities for AstraZeneca’s marketed products and compounds in development. You will translate scientific knowledge into strategies that drive decision making, help bring medicines to patients, and support business success.

Develop professional relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and decision makers, provide scientific information and expertise in assigned product and/or disease area, conduct presentations in a non-promotional context, engage in scientific collaborations, lead projects and activities, and support clinical studies and potential HCP initiated clinical research will be an important part of your role.

 You will be a core partner for internal cross-functional teams as a scientific specialist in Gynecological/GU cancer, both at local and Nordic level.

Reporting to the Nordic Therapeutic Area Lead Gynecological/GU Cancer, you will join a growing medical team in Oncology Medical Affairs.

    What we are looking for

    • A Medical Affairs professional who holds an advanced scientific degree and/or master´s degree or MD in Life Sciences or a related subject area. Expertise in oncology and MD and/or PhD with clinical experience and/or a few years’ experience from a medical affairs role is preferred.
    • Confirmed expertise in understanding, assimilating, and communicating scientific content
    • Entrepreneurial and collaborative approach to engaging with external stakeholders as well as cross-functional colleagues.
    • Business-oriented thinking, without compromising the scientific elements of the job.
    • Ability to travel, driver’s license and Swedish as well as English language skills required

    You have experience from working in cross-functional teams, a patient focused approach and integrity in external interactions.  Good planning, communication and organizational skills and an ability to achieve results without compromising quality is required.

    Your proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information and context to a variety of audiences is essential for the role as is an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health care system and payer structures.
