ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the AstraZeneca Global Supply Chain & Strategy function in relation to supply chain systems and processes in use within the organization. This role will involve gathering and analysing requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in the implementation of systems and their enhancements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain operations and systems, good analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with multi-functional teams.

Your key responsibilities include understanding business requirements and associated benefits, interpreting these and preparing them for comprehensive analysis to assess solutions and options and make strategic decisions according to clear strategic business priorities. Requirements are delivered using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, therefore project delivery or management experience in these are desirable.

In this role you will engage and work with colleagues across the whole of OpsIT and the C4Es, (e.g. Architects, Scaled Delivery Teams) to identify the capabilities required to propose and deliver appropriate solutions for the prioritised business requirements.

Essential for the role

  • Experience of identification and implementation of innovative technology solutions 
  • Experience of crafting arguments, eliciting requirements and documenting as-is and to-be processes
  • Experience of delivering project results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting  
  • Excellent influencing, networking and team working skills
  • Experience of working with supply chain business processes and systems.

Desirable for the role

  • Experience of leading small to medium sized project teams
  • Technical expertise in working with supply chain systems such as OMP, SAP APO, SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA
  • Degree in relevant subject area or formal certification in business analysis and/or project management practice
  • Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Experience of working in a global organization
  • Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge.
