Introduction to role:

Are you ready to step into a dynamic new environment and lead the delivery of digital improvements to a critical supply chain function? Due to an exciting strategic re-alignment within our GSC&S Therapy Area (TA) community, a brand-new TA Centre of Excellence (CoE) is being created, with opportunities for experienced individuals to make a real impact. The TA CoE will provide vital support to our community of Global Supply & Strategy Directors (GSSDs), Pre-Commercial Leads (GOLT leads), and Pre-Launch/Registration team who make up the entire Therapy Area community. The CoE will support critical Business Processes across all the TA teams, to enable the GSSDs to focus on brand strategy and supply chain design for resilience and sustainability, and to enable the GOLT leads to focus on excellent preparation and execution of our rapidly growing pipeline of new products.

Accountabilities:

The role will develop & execute the digital improvements for the TA in collaboration with GSC&S and Operations Digital functions. Working with all TA teams to identify digital improvement opportunities and turn into tangible projects (including business analyst activity, business cases etc). Identify business process improvements to existing tools, providing recommendations with clear benefits and contributing to delivery plans. Deliver improvement plans and projects through creation and implementation of digital tools using all available technologies. Ownership of the TA Digital A3 including overall digital demand management. Opportunities identified include TA Portfolio management tool, TA resource forecasting model, Pre Registration forecasting, Registration Sample tool workflows.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of and ability to create and develop digital solutions in available tools such as Smartsheet, 'Powersuite (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automat)’.

  • Familiarity with modern data and analytics platforms.

  • Experience with digital solutions design; can interpret the moving pieces in a sophisticated system and identify high-impact opportunities for intervention.

  • Ability to build collaborative and effective relationships at all levels, manage stakeholder and effective communication.

  • Capability to maintain a high-level view of projects while being hands-on and detail-oriented when vital.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to operate independently.

  • Proficiency in understanding and following processes methodically.

  • Proactive self-starter with a strong focus on delivery.

  • Outcome-focused attitude, taking personal responsibility for delivering results while accepting change and utilizing a growth mindset to focus on client outcomes.

  • Highly efficient: able to navigate ambiguity and solve problems in a fast-paced environment; able to influence without authority.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry with understanding of supply chain processes and requirements.

  • Experience in setting long-term strategic directions in support of wider business strategy.
