Senior Manager Corporate Communications & Campaigns

As Manager Corporate Communications & Campaigns you will work across the AstraZeneca Corporate Communications team and Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) network to manage the delivery of corporate communications campaigns and activity in support of a differentiated and trusted corporate brand and reputation.

You will work alone and under direction to manage a varied range of important corporate brand and communications programmes, working across GCA and with international teams and agencies. This will include managing the day-to-day delivery of our international corporate brand campaign, coordinating the delivery of a programme of work across reputation risk and crisis communications, and supporting with the delivery of a multi-market research programme.

You will be responsible for maintaining key communications assets, including our corporate speaker kit, narrative and messaging updates, as well as managing key technologies and tools. You will need to collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Corporate Communications and Global Corporate Affairs to support the development of compelling content, assets and campaigns to reach our priority audiences.

You will be a key member of the Corporate Brand & Reputation team, expected to play an active role in shaping the Corporate Brand & Reputation team’s agenda and working with communicators from all business areas to drive impact at global, regional and market levels in support of business priorities. Cultural awareness and ability to work with teams across corporate communications, including digital, media and internal communications will be key.

You must be proactive and innovative, able to work across a range of communications disciplines. Excellent writing, project management, planning and multi-channel communications experience (particularly digital communications and analytics) is essential. You will be expected to play an important role in fostering a positive culture as part of the broader Global Corporate Affairs team.

Key responsibilities

  • Work under direction and alone to manage and coordinate the delivery of corporate brand campaigns and communications programmes to drive a leading corporate brand and reputation.
  • Partner with global, regional and market teams to support the delivery of high-quality, creative and accurate communications activities, content and outputs.
  • Implement learnings and drive action and optimisation across the team, adopting best practices and ensuring approaches remain best-in-class.
  • Ensure all communications share a unified look and feel that reflect the company’s business priorities, strategy and brand.
  • Manage contract resources to support effective execution of communication activities as required. Manage quality and compliance of work.

Knowledge and experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years communications experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team.
  • Experienced communicator with track record in delivering and managing complex corporate campaigns that deliver measurable impact and ROI.
  • Experience in working with international teams or on projects with international dimensions.
  • Significant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships and confident at managing up.
  • Skilled at using social media and digital content creation, and experience in measurement and how to use data and research to drive communications efforts.
  • Experience of working in pharma/other highly regulated sector is desirable.
