As an Alliance Manager, you will be foundational in the successful delivery of our studies conducted at our CRO partnerships by establishing clear Ways of Working (WoW), tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), investigations issues and seeking opportunities for improvementSuccessful, on-time completion of these studies ensures our medicine reach millions of patients faster than ever.

Accountabilities:

  • Support our strategic alliances with CRO partners who conduct general toxicology and bioanalytical studies on our behalf.  
  • Act as the main contact point forinitial escalation of issues which may occur on studies. 
  • Support the operational model for new alliances, integrating tasks and activities into your day-to-day responsibilities 
  • Manage preparation and execution of Third Party Risk Management, Transfer Impact Assessments, and Privacy Impact Assessments for new partnerships, and renew assessments as needed for ongoing partnerships.
  • Support due diligence for new partnerships or business opportunities.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining alliance management processes and tools, and for measuring and reporting on the success of allianceson a monthly basis.
  • Champion a collaborative “one team” culture across internal and external teams.
  • Lead key workstreams across teams to improve quality, communication, timelines and other aspects that may be needed.
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with strategic partners and internal stakeholders to assess progress against plans.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Previous Contract Research Organization experience

  • Understanding of contracts and ability to interpret contractual responsibilities of both parties

  • Understanding of the process of drug discovery and development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant discipline

  • Experience in Discovery, Preclinical or Clinical drug development

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in English

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in an Alliance Management function within a large pharma
  • Strong background/experience in Bioanalysis or Toxicology 
  • Contract Research Organisation (CRO) experience highly preferred
  • Project management experience 
  • CA-AM Certification
