With rapidly changing payer ecosystems and increasingly constrained health budgets, significant innovative thinking is required to develop and implement best-in-class price & market strategies to ensure patient have access to our medicines. We are seeking a Global Pricing Analyst to join AstraZeneca’s Global Market Access and Pricing (GMAP) function to support our BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit.

Description                                                                                                                  

The Global Pricing Analyst will work in close collaboration with the Global Pricing Implementation (GPI) Director to deliver on 1) the different day-to-day activities and objectives of the GPI team and 2) a wide range of analytical and market access projects designed to support AZ strategic decisions for the broader BBU access team.

The analyst will be focusing on specific geographies from a price management perspective supporting the GPI TA specific director, and as he/she becomes more experienced will take on direct relationship with AZ local market companies (MC). The analyst will enable the GPI Team to deliver timely and added value pricing reviews and risk assessment, while fostering collaboration with MC by addressing their needs for accurate pricing data

Accountabilities/responsibilities                                                                               

  • Support day-to-day price management for in-line and launch BBU products:
    • Review and challenge business cases
    • Perform cross-country impact analysis of proposed price changes and build scenarios, in collaboration with GPI Director
    • Collect analyze price proposals and launch dates of launch brands
    • Conduct launch price analysis/sequencing
    • Disseminate relevant information on price changes and evolving launch sequence to MCs
    • Support the development of pricing policies for existing and emerging brands
    • Take accountability for the capturing and dessemination of market specific insight for GMAP and regions
    • Support MC in their pricing proposals and reimbursement strategies to local authorities of pricing and reimbursement information 
    • Support GPI team members on infrastructure projects

  • Provide analytical support for a wide range of maket access projects for the broader BBU access team:
    • Support BBU Access team in strategic projects requiring analytical work and/or project management (i.e. analogue analysis, price benchmarking)

Minimum requirements – education & Experience                                                                                                

Requirement:

  • Graduate / College degree in biomedical science, business, economics or political sciences/public policy
  • Postgraduate qualification in biomedical science, business administration, finance, or economics (desirable)
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience (desirable)
  • Fluency in English

Experience

  • Relevant working experience,
    • In the pharmaceutical industry in business/finance related roles
    • In the service industry such as consulting, accounting or financial services
  • Strong analytical skills, advance user of excel
  • Forecasting and business case preparation (desirable)
  • Track record of insights development (desirable)
