This role provides an unique opportunity to work with both Alexion and AstraZeneca businesses in Türkiye.

In the Alexion team we’re looking for a HR lead to support the Rare Diseases business growth in Türkiye. In this capacity you would maintain workforce plan for Alexion Türkiye including both recruitment demand plan and view on future capability needs. You will partner with Alexion General Manager and the local leadership team to identify and drive people and culture initiatives. Such initiatives include driving Talent Development by embedding talent development culture, embedding coaching discussions between line managers & team members and coaching employees on their personal development. You will also coordinate and oversee implementation of organisation culture initiatives, for example related to psychological safety, employee wellbeing and great place to work.

HR lead will also partner with a designated function in AstraZeneca Türkiye. In this capacity you will play a key role in collaborating with the local leaders in AstraZeneca Türkiye to identify and drive people and culture initiatives. In this role you will collaborate with the Global HR Business partner for the designated function.

Core HR accountabilities which applies when you partner both with Alexion and AstraZeneca teams

  • Manage all aspects of internal and external recruitment processes in line with company policy and procedures in line with company budget.
  • Support the demand for soft skill & technical trainings.
  • Ensure the execution of operational processes of human resources according to the relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Coach and support line managers in the application of HR policies and practices, provides advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimise risk and financial exposure.
  • Support line managers for poor performance management (PIP).
  • Provide support in HR legal issues and ensure the execution of employee involuntary leave processes (incl. termination, redundancy etc.) 
  • Be the first point of contact for all non-operational employee queries.
  • Make sure related job descriptions for all employees are completed and filed.
  • Ensure the compliance to Global HR Policies in all aspects of HR applications.
  • Collaborate with AstraZeneca People Services team to manage HR operational work.
  • Proactively contribute in cross-functional HR initiatives in Türkiye and drive to find shared solutions across AstraZeneca and Alexion HR teams.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous HR Generalist experience (minimum of 5 years)
  • Experience in working in global organisation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong working knowledge in employment legislation in Türkiye
  • Curiosity and interest to learn
  • Strong emotional intelligence, listening, influencing and coaching skills
  • Experience of coaching & challenging business leaders
  • Technical HR knowledge/skills in some of the following areas: Talent Acquisition, Performance & Reward, Learning & Development, Organisation Design planning, HR Analytics
  • Good business acumen and communication skills
  • Experience of managing business change
  • Good project management skills; able to demonstrate experience of managing HR projects through a complete life cycle
