We make the most of individuals’ skills and passion by actively supporting our people to see what can be achieved no matter of the starting point.  As a Global Procurement Analyst in Global Procurement Services in Warsaw, you’ll play a pivotal role in aiding Global Category Teams in making fully informed decisions by providing data & insight to enable Global Procurement to deliver value when supporting the business in making the right decisions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To support the Global Category Teams and GPS in delivering high quality data to enable defining the category strategy and support all improvements & simplification projects. This person will work primarily with the category teams to support their day to day activities in spend analytics, value tracking and market intelligence area. In the same time this person will deliver as a Project Manager or as a project team member activities which support other Operational Excellence ideas.

The role reports directly to the GPS Manager and forms part of the Analytics Team. The team have a relentless focus on delivering meaningful insights from the analysis.

Additionally, team is supporting many improvement ideas in the field of analysis and data mining.

There will be a strong expectation that the job holder will act as an ambassador of OGPS, confident and capable of talking about any element of OGPS Analytics service catalogue, and able to represent the function when engaging with any Procurement or Business stakeholders. They will be highly collaborative in their approach, able to demonstrate leadership for their area of responsibility and build strong credibility in their own capability and that of their function.

Responsible for:

  • Analysis of category data across functions/systems
  • Consolidation of information and reporting aimed in supporting the categories with the right level of information both historical and market related
  • Preparation of reports, dashboards and presentations based on stakeholder needs.
  • Implementation of systems and other data related technologies to speed up or simplify processes
  • Maintenance and improvements in current systems and solutions
  • Ensure the company's purchasing policies are fully complied with, particularly pertaining to risk and reputation
  • Providing project management support to specific analytics related projects
  • Build close relations with Procurement and drive effective Business Partnering
  • Actively work on self-development & knowledge sharing

Essential Requirements

  • University degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience in data crunching (preferably procurement but also can be finance or supply chain), strong system knowledge, and string in handling large data set and present the findings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to present information (numeric data) in a clear and concise format to all levels of the organization and effectively externally with suppliers.
  • Innovative mindset - generates and implements creative solutions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience of working in global or regional procurement or analytical function.
  • Excellent English communication skills (Polish is not a must).
  • Desire to work as part of a strong team.
  • Background experience of working collaboratively across teams
  • Strong level of computer knowledge in Excel with VBA preferably, Word, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools.

Desirable Requirements

  • Background operating in a similar complex, matrix, global organization like AstraZeneca or similarly heavily regulated industry.
  • Ability to drive simplification in all aspects of work
  • Excellent Project Management skills to effectively manage projects
  • Results oriented - driven to meet deadlines while not sacrificing quality.
  • Good understanding or market research & market intelligence data
  • Experience with SAP Ariba & SMART (by GEP)
  • Experience with Qlik Sense or any other business intelligence tool
  • Programming in SQL and/or Python is a great benefit
