Demand Planner - Indonesia & Singapore (12-Month Contract)

As a Demand Planner - Indonesia & Singapore, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. This position is based in Singapore.

This position will be on a temporary 12-month contract.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Area Supply Director, you will be the operational point of contact between the local Marketing Company functions and the respective supplying sites, and supporting the country supply manager (MCAM) accountabilities.

You will balance both operational and tactical aspects of product supply that flow into the Marketing Companies and enable them to achieve commercial objectives by supporting supply chain change and improvement activities, product range and design, information flows and processes. In supporting the execution of the monthly Global Planning Cycle, you will:

  • Act as the demand planner for the markets under your care, including contacts and managing and maintaining the relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for the forecast and demand management: validate forecasts & release forecasts to APO, investigate significant demand changes / supply and demand imbalances. Approval in APO of ad hoc forecasts. Key stakeholder in running the pre-IBP meeting with focus on 0-6months horizon. Collect market intelligence, manage master data and system accuracy,  
  • Execute and perform demand forecast verification and challenge, review associated market intelligence, forecast quality metrics review and monitor supply chain parameter settings where required.
  • Manage the supply planning for CMI products and follow up / raise short term POs.
  • Collaborate with other operations functions and commercial teams in delivering the demand and commercial agendas
  • Maintain Master Data for the planning relevant systems.
  • Provide reporting and analytics to the relevant stakeholders
  • Support projects and initiatives like new product introductions, deals, acquisitions or business development initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Experience and knowledge of Supply Chain planning methodology
  • Experience with commercial and supply chain stakeholder management
  • Negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Good at data analysis, the use of (demand) planning concepts and the use of metrics
  • Ability to deliver value and advice to clients and stakeholders through effective stakeholder management skills 
  • Analytical skills and data interpretation - in order to use these metrics to identify areas of business improvement and the ability to drive performance
  • Confident communication skills, able to negotiate and influence positive outcomes
  • Effective skills in managing service providers to agreed SLA's
  • Knowledge of APO DP and / or SNP will be an advantage
