The Warehouse System Analyst (WSA) is responsible for the daily operation of the automated warehouse systems supporting the Newark distribution center (FGDC) and receiving warehouse (ASRS). The WSAs are responsible for responding to and taking corrective action for Material Handling System (MHS) problems/alerts and performing routine computer operator functions. Responsibilities also include responding to alarms generated by the Central Alarm Reporting (CAR) system that monitors the entire Newark facility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Efficient and effective operation of the Finished Goods Distribution Center (FGDC) and receiving warehouse (ASRS).
  • Ensure the systems are operating correctly and are available to support production operations for the entire site. Maximize system throughput of warehouse systems and subsystem hardware and software components.
  • Warehouse systems operated by the WSAs include:
  • Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs): High Bay Cranes, Weigh stations, Conveyors, Stretch wrappers
  • WSAs oversee the operation of the FGDC computer systems that ships on average between $100M-$150M in product on a weekly basis.
  • The incumbent in the WSA position must thoroughly understand the operation of warehouse systems and must maintain knowledge of all procedures. In addition, the WSA must ensure that all automated equipment that is part of these systems is operated in a safe manner and according to procedures.
  • Responsible for the operation of other Newark computer systems and the data center. Maximize system throughput by monitoring system activity, responding to system problems and performing routine operator functions. These functions include: backups, start-ups, switch-overs, shutdowns, ensuring all procedures are properly followed, etc. Systems that are not operated in compliance with cGMP regulations must be reported to supervision. Operation of these systems directly affects many job functions within the plant. Over 100 computer systems and associated equipment are maintained in the data center that supports all Newark production requirements (LIMS, TDMS, AZ Dispense, etc.).
  • Performing the following duties: service calls, SOP review and administration, inventory listings, monthly reports, scheduling batch jobs, daily logs, camera monitoring, reporting safety violations, etc.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Two (2) year technical degree or relevant work experience

Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member.
  • Experience working in Distribution Center/Warehouse
  • environment.
  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.

Desired:

  • SAP formal training
  • Control room or computer operator experience a plus
  • Experience working in a regulatory controlled environment.
  • Some inventory control background
