Your new role

Reporting to the Site Director, we currently have an opportunity to join our Site Leadership Team and provide overall strategic direction, technical and operational leadership to the Production Managers of our Solutions Preparation and Sterile Manufacturing business units.

This role is primarily responsible for driving performance to deliver on key metrics and standards around safety, quality, supply and people. Creating a culture of engagement through continuous improvement and the use of lean tools, a key focus will be on labour utilisation and waste minimisation.

Our Solutions Preparation and Sterile business units have a team of 70 highly skilled Operators, Sterility Technicians and dedicated Maintenance crews, structured with two, 12-hour shifts running 24/7 and are responsible for batch manufacturing and supply of Active Pharmaceutical product to our packaging teams.

Building strategic cross functional relationships with Quality, Engineering and the broader Supply Chain functions, you will empower your teams to initiate change, challenge the status quo whilst driving a culture of teamwork, accountability and performance. In this highly technical, aseptic environment, your success will come from your ability to work in partnership with the Manufacturing Lead - Packaging and balancing the need for environmental controls with the commercial requirements of the business.

Your experiences and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering
  • A demonstrated track record in driving cultural change and performance
  • Strong people leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Familiar with Lean tools and methodology
  • Strong knowledge of Aseptic filling, PICs and GMP
  • Strong understanding of chemical formulation and microbiology
  • Effective stakeholder management and wider supply chain knowledge
