In the role of Test & Quality Lead you will take accountability for ensuring quality for a ‘premier’ IT capability across the Science and Enabling Units functions.

The Test & Quality Lead will drive the strategy beyond manual functional testing and will aim to provide precise continuity in the delivery cycle, aiming to become an enabler of quality across the SDLC rather than a just gatekeeper detecting defects. Quality will need to be well-defined and focus on accomplishing a satisfying user experience within given time frames rather than driving for excellence. A key focus will be on minimising risk, reducing costs, and accelerating time to market through frequent releases.

You will join the team at an exciting time, in a period of growth in the Solution Delivery Centre, which would provide an opportunity to grow and craft the team, whilst maintaining delivery excellence and quality. The role will report to the SysOps, Release, Test Engineering Lead.

You will operate within the Solution Delivery Centre, who work with business units across Science and Enabling Units to deliver quality solutions to meet business and IT needs. You will collaborate with these Business functions, Solution Delivery, and other IT Organisations across a global IT matrix spanning US, UK, Sweden, China, Japan, Poland, Mexico, and India.

You will be responsible for the development of your people and will also be accountable for resource allocation and forecasting to support demand from the Solution Delivery practice. The Test & Quality Team is critical to ensure quality of new solutions for our partners, and ultimately benefit our patients. You and your team will be vital to instilling confidence, control, and reliability whilst delivering high quality solutions.

You will have experience in crafting and maintaining test automation frameworks with industry standards that support various types of testing based on technical analysis, complexity and reusability. You will also demonstrate a deep understanding of Agile and DevOps development methodologies, and ideally possess a validated application of these. You will also provide technical coordination to the various technical teams developing test automation to ensure minimal duplication of efforts through maximum reuse of defined solutions
