This post-doctoral fellowship in Proteomics provides a unique opportunity to work with a team of experienced mass spectrometrists engaged in proteomics, mAb characterization and metabolomics. The goal is to conduct cutting-edge research to unravel key targets in drug discovery, understanding the targets in complex disease conditions using state-of-the-art tandem mass spectrometry approach to facilitate R&D scientists from ADPE, therapeutic areas from Oncology, Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism and Respiratory Diseases. In-depth knowledge of proteomics technology, data analysis skills and biological interpretation of data is necessary to successfully carry out the functions of this position.

Essential requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, analytical chemistry or any related life science field with a focus on mass spectrometry.
  • Hands-on experience in carrying out protein digestion, peptide purification and mass spectrometry data analysis.
  • Current knowledge of proteomics technology including nanoflow LC-MS analysis, proteomics data analysis software, protein and peptide quantitation.
  • Knowledge of ideal mass spectrometry sample preparation from complex samples derived from various biological sources including cells, tissues, and body fluids.
  • Experience in operating and troubleshooting mass spectrometry instruments.
  • Excellent scientific writing, presentation and communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in analysis of a wide variety of post-translational modifications.
  • Ability to independently carry out validation experiments in cell culture models.
  • Understanding of statistical tools and basic knowledge of bioinformatics analysis of the data using pathway analysis tools such as GO, IPA, KEGG and Cytoscape.
  • Motivation to develop new tools for MS analysis and MS data analysis and constantly update with the current knowledge in the Omics field.
  • Publications in high impact journals and scientific talks in conferences.
