A member of the Lokelma Supply Site in Coppell, Texas responsible for supporting the manufacturing and laboratory operations through the management and delivery of maintenance, calibration, safety, site services, automation and project engineering services.  Responsible for all engineering and facilities functions related to Lokelma API production.  Responsible for Facilities department Op Ex budget and Cap Ex budget.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop policies and Standard Operating Procedures for equipment and facility maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve and facility engineering performance issues.
  • Monitor and improve energy consumption, waste handling, equipment running efficiency and related facility operating criteria.
  • Develop, implement and monitor/improve appropriate performance metrics for the site.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other functions at the facility as required to ensure minimum disruption to production schedules during planned or unplanned maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that appropriate environmental, health and safety systems are in place to comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Develop business plan to cover all aspects of engineering for the site and monitors adherence to annual budget.
  • Partner with Corporate/Global Engineering teams and support groups to develop long range facilities plans and business continuity plans

  • Ethical conduct and compliance
    • Ensures compliance of self and others to internal and external regulations.
  • Fiscal and financial control
    • Follows AZ’s financial policies, manages people resources to policy requirements and delivers budgets.
  • People management
    • Optimises performance outcomes of direct reports and ensures individuals understand the contribution they make.
    • Direct and supervise staff responsible for plant maintenance, metrology, reliability, automation, project management, site services and environmental health and safety to ensure optimum site facility performance.
  • Leadership and engagement
    • Understands the big picture and connects individuals to it in a meaningful way.
  • Compliance
    • Is accountable for ensuring compliance is understood and maintained across own functional area.
    • Organisation & Personnel (to ensure that the required initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted according to need)
  • Continuous improvement
    • Strives to continuously improve the established ways of working.
  • Lean Leadership
    • Implement elements of Lean principles.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline

Required:

  • 10+ years experience in facility or project engineering, including leading a team of technical professionals in a regulated environement
  • Knowledge of GMP utility design, operation and maintenance
  • Experience managing multiple engineering disciplines
  • Project Management knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of GMP related to Facility design and operation.
  • Budgetary development and management experience

Desirable:

  • Graduate degree in business or engineering discipline
  • GMP Facility or equipment design experience
  • Automation design experience
  • Pharmaceutical or Biologics manufacturing operation experience
  • PMP
