At AstraZeneca we take pride in our work by applying a strong set of values, and we’re resetting expectations of what a bio-pharmaceutical company can be. By truly following the science, we pioneer new methods, new thinking and bring unexpected teams together.

If you’re swift to action, confident to lead, willing to collaborate, and curious about what science can do, then you’re our kind of person.

AstraZeneca is seeking highly motivated recent graduates for a rotational development program within Biopharmaceutical Development (BPD). BPD is part of our BioPharmaceuticals R&D organisation. You will be based in Granta Park, Cambridge (UK). The 2-year program will provide three rotational assignments in the BPD core functions that are essential to our drug development. The rotations will offer you meaningful projects in a dynamic environment. In addition, you will enjoy wide-ranging insight into our organization and into advancing one of the strongest, most robust pipelines in industry.

Requirements/Qualifications: The Rotational Associates Program (RAP) hires top talent with a BS or MS degree in science, engineering, or similar fields, and limited work experience. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a real passion for learning? Can you demonstrate proven scientific excellence in schooling and applied work and the ability to work effectively as part of teams?

The Program: You will participate in 3 rotational assignments, lasting approximately 8 months each. Rotational programs can be tailored to your interests and will provide a diverse skill set and wide-ranging experience highly relevant to biopharmaceutical development. During each rotation, you will have to opportunity to work on meaningful projects and participate in day-to-day activities of the department. For each rotation, we will assign you to a manager in their host function who oversees activities and provides training and mentorship. In addition, we will pair you with a mentor for the duration of the entire program. We encourage you to present your work at the end of each rotation. This will help you to gain experience in presenting and for others to get exposure to the individuals and their work. We expect you to participate in company-offered trainings and networking events, and to take part in meaningful activities designed to facilitate connection among RAP participants. You will move into a functional full-time role after the 2-year rotational period, based on participant interest, performance assessments and feedback from managers, and business needs.
