As a Global Brand Director in our Respiratory therapy area, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. GPPS (Global Product and Portfolio Strategy) bridges science and commercial, integrating corporate, portfolio, therapy areas and product strategies, providing strategic direction from early-stage research through to commercialization. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop the strategy and drive the execution of the global brand plan for a product across asthma and COPD.

This commercial role focuses on leading the development and implementation of the brand strategy and the tactical plan which supports the global brand strategy of our Respiratory therapy area, focused on Asthma and COPD . Your critical success in this role will come from working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand and apply information around the differentiated clinical profile of our respiratory product vs. the competition, the competitive dynamic intra class and interclass in asthma and COPD as well as the unmet patient needs

As a successful candidate, you will drive the global relationship with Marketing Companies, driving the execution of the global strategy, as long the commercial voice when interacting with a variety of supporting functions such as Operations, Development, Regulatory, Medical, Business Insight, Payer Teams, and Finance.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Drive the full understanding and belief of the differentiated clinical profile in our respiratory product vs. the competition of the same class and other classes
  • Accountable to lead elements of a product’s strategy of the BSP globally and get endorsement and partnership with key MCs
  • Drive the state of the art evolution and execution of the 5 deliverables: campaign, sales guide objection handler, meeting in a box, MSL deck
  • Support the quarterly performance review with IR and the Strategic Business Review with key countries
  • Collaborate with the Respiratory Team and the GPT in the definition of opportunities to drive sustained differentiation of our respiratory product
  • Lead business planning process with the markets to ensure robust evaluation of a product’ opportunity in asthma and COPD.
  • Work closely with business insights, medical and payer teams to input into global brand strategy, highlighting key risks and uncertainties and proposing pro-active mitigation plans
  • Drive the execution of the tactical plans that are included in the 2019 BSPShort term improvement opportunities: flawless campaign execution and advocacy development AsthmaZero: solution to improve asthma management

Internal and External Contacts/Customers

  • Significant collaboration with marketing company commercial leaders
  • Contact with key external stakeholders like HCPs in Ad Boards and at congresses (as appropriate)

Minimum Requirements -- Education and Experience

  • Masters’ degree in life sciences or business
  • Understanding of general business and core marketing principles and application to future healthcare market challenges
  • Significant sales/marketing experience from the pharmaceutical industry
  • Relevant knowledge Asthma and COPD clinical studies and differentiators
  • Commercial and marketing experience in primary care
  • Broad pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with track record of exploring new ways of working, driving new opportunities and catalysing others to build creative business solutions
  • Proven experience and knowledge of a broad base of external customers including patients, prescribers, payers, providers, health care provider institutions, collaboration partners
  • Effective interactions with internal & external customers and stakeholders to drive success
  • Able to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of clinical studies

Desirable Requirements

  • MBA
  • Relevant technical degree
  • Asthma/COPD relationships
  • China and Emerging Markets experience
  • Understanding of the R&D process and importance of integrating commercial and development strategy and plans
