Health & Wellbeing Lead

Are you an experienced, dynamic and confident Health & Wellbeing Leader, capable of building on and improving our Health & Wellbeing approach at our Macclesfield Campus?

Are you passionate about Health & Wellbeing in the workplace, believing it can make a huge difference to people, increase employee engagement and help drive business performance?

As Health & Wellbeing Lead you'll be an integral member of the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) team, reporting to the Head of SHE, within the Facilities Management function. We’re looking for someone to:

  • Develop and drive a wide-ranging Health & Wellbeing programme across the campus to support 4000 colleagues at AstraZeneca Macclesfield.
  • Promote a Macclesfield campus Health & Wellbeing brand, capturing feedback from colleagues on their wellbeing priorities and using data on demographics and common health issues to provide a well targeted, impactful programme.
  • Collaborate with our third party Occupational Health provider on site, to ensure the highest level of professional standards and an outstanding service for colleagues.
  • Passionate about Health & Wellbeing and people, you’ll be inspiring, confident and knowledgeable about a range of wellbeing topics. These will include physical health, physical activity, mental wellbeing, resilience, healthy eating, workplace facilities, work life balance and tobacco cessation.
  • Establishing positive relationships with key internal Partners at all levels of the business you'll innovate and drive the strategic direction of health & wellbeing.
  • You will work across a number of supplier partners in the Wellbeing space to co-ordinate a joined-up approach to health. This will result in greater consistency and collaboration between providers.
  • You'll drive AstraZeneca’s Macclesfield campus forward to be a future national award winner for health & wellbeing.

Required Experience

  • Relevant work experience in Health & Wellbeing.
  • Preferably you operate at a management level or have evidence of successful partnering with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a real passion for Health & Wellbeing.
  • Confident in presenting to large groups and to senior stakeholders.
  • You'll have a comprehensive understanding of marketing methods (email, social media, face to face, signage, etc.) to engage large numbers of people with wellbeing campaign focus topics.
  • Ideally you'll possess a relevant Health & Safety / Health & Wellbeing qualification.
  • With knowledge of Occupational Health services, you'll oversee the outsourced provision of this service.
  • With strong organisation skills, ideally gained within a medium to large organisation.
  • Some experience in organisation of events would be advantageous.
