As an Associate Scientist (I or II) you will generate and QC bespoke reagents (proteins, conjugates, cell lines, genetic expression constructs (e.g. plasmid DNA)) for in vivo antibody generation projects.

You will perform the in vivo antibody discovery process including: antigen specific B-cell isolation by flow cytometry or hybridoma generation, automated colony picking, primary characterisation of in vivo-derived antibodies using both biochemical and cell-based screens, antibody gene isolation and cloning, sequence analysis of antibody clones, hybridoma propagation, and antibody purification, in order to support projects in the identification of lead antibodies.

In addition, you will contribute to projects aimed at improving process efficiency and investigate new methodologies, techniques and/or equipment that may be beneficial for the in vivo antibody discovery process and/or add value to the team’s functional output.
