Join our dynamic Business Planning and Operations Team in Early R&I as a Communication Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Early R&I Science Engagement Manager and Business Planning and Operations Lead on various communication and engagement initiatives. You will bring creative approaches to assist with aspects of internal communications, including delivery of high-quality internal global events and supporting content creation. Additionally, you will champion the use of digital communications platforms, including Workplace.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Drive initiatives to increase Leader engagement and to encourage speak-up culture across Early R&I, using F2F and digital platforms.
  • Create and maintain the Early R&I communications events calendar and project manage the Early R&I editorial planning process.
  • Project manage the efficient delivery of global internal events and Townhalls.
  • Develop high quality and engaging communications to drive awareness of key Early R&I priorities and achievements (including image creations, video editing and digital newsletters).
  • Champion and promote best practise for key communications channels including Workplace, Nucleus and SharePoint online.
  • Arrange logistics for key internal events and activities.
  • Manages own work to ensure that assignments are delivered on time, within budget and to high standard of quality.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience in creative events administration and digital/online delivery.
  • Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug discovery and development process.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive with effective interpersonal and influencing skills, Ability to build effective relationships quickly and inspire trust.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility.
  • Early adopter of new communication technologies and eager to be at the forefront of making use of the latest advancements.

Desirable

  • Experienced user of programs in Adobe Creative Cloud e.g. Illustrator.
  •  Proficiency in video editing and live streaming/editing/webinar options.
  • Digital content production.
  • Web-editing and writing experience.
